REPORT

125 competitors today! Yet another perfect, sunny Bermuda Spring Day. That brings our perfect weather race days for this season to 7. And for our final race, we brought a revamped 2.5 mile loop for the open 60 with very little difference for the other classes. Climbing, descending, cornering, flat out cranking, more Climbing. Ferry Reach has it all. And, at the 11th hour after everyone had practiced, we found a new trail that had been cut by the Parks Division. We added it! (duh)

So, upset of the day, Open 60. The names have become common on the podium, James Holloway and Alan Potts had the majority of the wins and Chris Nusum was rapidly improving. Cameron Morris had shown promise on several occasions, Dave Burn was always in the hunt.

But, there were others. Racers always there quietly feeling out the competition and terrain. And then, right in the last race, on a carbon full suspension upgrade. A new winner!!

Kavin Smith, Superstar runner, Candidate for the FTM rookie of the year, Whatsapp Crash King!! After a few aggressive laps trading blows with the other top contenders, Kavin finally let the full BEAST out and held off Cameron’s challenge for the win. Chris Nusum took third place.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Be sure to view the most outrageous, Bodacious, Epic finish EVER in open 30 by Beaver (AKA HIT man, AKA “Road Kill”).
